Meet our Media Specialist

Greetings All!

I am Melody Cook, the Bethel School Library Media Coordinator. A little bit about me, I am a proud graduate of Appalachian State University with a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science and an Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education. I am a Watauga County native and have worked in our school system since 2001. I love literature and sharing information and research tools with students! I enjoy every aspect of working at the library with Bethel's wonderful students and teachers.

A little more about me, I have two fun, sweet, beautiful children, Josie and Jesse Roaden. The three of us enjoy hanging out with our family and friends, traveling, going to amusement parks, and kayaking at the lake. We also share a love of animals! We have a Goldendoodle named Cosmo DePooch. He brings so much fun into our lives. We also love our church and church family.  

Some of my personal interests are reading, shopping, gardening, canning, and decorating. I enjoy taking walks and working in my yard too. I love living in the mountains and watching life as it changes from season to season. I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place. 

I truly love the Media Center at Bethel School. This is the best place to work and learn.
